Cycle thefts in West Bridgford

Alert message sent 23/09/2019 10:50:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Despite some good arrests by local officers in relation to bike thefts, we have had 2 more thefts reported to us in the last 24 hours.
Attached is a crime prevention advice sheet about cycle theft prevention, please share this with neighbours, family and friends.
D locks should be used to secure the cycle frame to something substantial even if they are secure inside a shed or outbuilding at your home address.
Rushcliffe Borough Council hold cycle marking events and often provide D locks for free in exchange for a very much inferior cable or chain type cycle lock.

Please see the Rushcliffe Borough Council web site for more details.
