Catalytic convertor thefts in Rushcliffe

Alert message sent 10/10/2019 20:44:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Please continue to be vigilant in car parks where catalytic convertor thefts have occurred.

A few weeks ago small hybrid type vehicles were being attacked for their catalytic convertors.

Although we have not had any recent reports of this type of theft on Rushcliffe, If you see any person working underneath a car in a public car park, please observe and if you feel it is suspicious, please ring 999 and report the incident. We would ask if you could obtain as much information as you can, description of the offenders, make, model, colour and registration number of the offenders vehicle.

Quite often these car parks are covered with CCTV, we will as a matter of course review any CCTV footage, if you catch any suspicious activity on your dashcam around these type of thefts, please keep this and notify us of its existence
