Criminal Damage – 1

The Nuthall Parish Council had taken some paint up to paint over the remaining bits of graffiti from an incident on the 26/02/2020. The council member of staff noticed four youths watching from the adult exercise equipment area.

A member of the public then approached a member of staff on the car park to point out that the four youths had been in the male toilets and smoke was billowing out. There was a strong smell of smoke but no obvious damage.

The youths went over to the skate park area but kept looking over at towards the staff. The youths suddenly ran out of the Watnall Road gate. The council staff then saw the group on New Farm Lane and they didn't get as far as the Cemetery.

The youths were seen again on Watnall Road and they ran off onto Ayscough Avenue and it was then suspected that they went down the multi user track towards Bulwell.

The four youths included, one with very baggy light grey jogger bottoms, one with a bright blue puffa jacket, one with adidas style black joggers and one with a Adidas small bag across his chest, one had really white trainers on.

Incident number 0434_01032020.

Witness report
On the 01/03/2020 at around 1445 hours I was on the park sitting on the bench nearest the toilet conveniences but unable to actually see the actual entrances to the toilets. I could see the area between the safety railing and the area which was not obstructed by the building. I saw a youth come out of the toilets and lean against the safety rail he was leaning against the railing looking towards the toilets. A minute later a cloud of smoke came from the direction of the toilet entrance, this smoke was quite dense, then another youth came out and joined the first. There was some conversation between them but I was to far away to hear any detail. Approximately two minutes later two more youths came out of the toilets and after a short conversation they all walked off in the direction of the children’s park. The smoke was now dissipating and blowing away. I saw these again in the skate park 10 minutes later. 1st youth 5ft 10in tall blue fleece and black jeans, 2nd youth 5ft 9in tall, black top grey jeans, the other two appeared younger and shorter both dressed in black jeans and black jackets.
